Task Description/Responsibilities:

· The System Administrator I is responsible for developing, writing, and editing material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operations and enhancement of equipment.

· Responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring complex Local Area and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN).

· Performing network performance monitoring, conducting internal risk assessments, developing and maintaining Network Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), monitoring network Help Desk and Trouble Call Logs, conducting network Trend Analyses, and preparing monthly network status reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

(Must be a US Citizen)

Education/Experience:

· Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics; or, a High School Diploma plus two (2) years of current Hands-On Systems Administration Experience.

Specific Experience Requirements:

Required/Essential Skills/Experience:

· Must have:

General experience;

· Shall have a minimum of two years of progressively more Responsible Systems Administration experience.

· Demonstrated System Administration experience to include: system and disk management, system/network security, hardware/software maintenance, and performance monitoring

Specialized experience:

· Must have a minimum of 6 months recent software testing experience dealing directly with Gov’t/DoD organizations and activities, involving development of system/network software to Gov’t/DoD specifications.

· Must have a minimum of one year recent Computer System/Network Administration experience dealing directly with Gov’t/DoD organizations and activities.

· Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both orally and in writing.

· Must have Excellent customer interface skills.

Highly Desired:

· MCSA, CCNA, BNCNE, FNCNE Certifications

Security Clearance:

· Must be eligible for a DoD/Government Security Clearance

· Candidates with current DoD/Government Security Clearance highly desired
