Task Description/Responsibilities:

The System Trainer shall: 

q  The selected individual will provide a classroom environment, equipment, and software ready for the trainees;

q  Maintain a thorough and current knowledge of the system.

q  Maintain all training course materials, practical exercises and examinations current, and ensure the training software suite reflects the current fielded configuration.

q  Develop new courses in response to Government tasking.

q  Must have experience in the following: computer workstations operating in a network environment; office automation software; computer based training techniques; basic computer software troubleshooting and problem solving.  Must be cognizant of computer based and training techniques, and be capable of relating technical data to non-technical mid-level military officers and DOD civilians. Fluent with a variety of teaching methods including computer based training.  * This position requires a TS/SCI w/ CI polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

                                                  Basic Qualifications Newtwork Engineer:

q  Bachelors degree (or higher) in a technical discipline and at least three (3) years of experience or,

q  no Bachelors degree and at least (7) years experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN technologies.

q  Basic Qualifications Include:  2 years of experience in addition to the following:  Knowledge  of Apple Operating Systems and applications running on the Apple OS.  2 years experience testing client/server applications.  Knowledge of Sybase databases.  Knowledge of networks and distributed computing. 2 years experience writing and executing requirements derived test procedures and documenting issues discovered.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

q  The successful candidate will have experience with rapid prototyping methods, Apple Macintosh, COTS, UNIX, and wide area and local area network technologies to include TCP/IP, Ethernet, and DoD standard network/communication protocols.

q  At least two (2) years experience with VoIP phone and VTCoIP technology

q  Experience executing and writing test procedures. 

q  Good communications skills and the ability to work in a team environment. 

q  Knowledge of applications running on an Apple OS.

 

The System Trainer must have formal, practical and successful Five (5) years minimum experience training adults in the operation of computer hardware and software as well as formal, practical and successful experience in adult course development and supporting documentation.

Trainer shall have experience in computer workstations and demonstrate comprehensive organizational, oral, and written communication skills.  Trainer must have basic knowledge of software and hardware troubleshooting.  Training personnel shall: Train all system users, specifically – System Administrators, Security Managers, Site Chiefs, System Security Administrators, and Deployable users.

Additional Desired Skills/Qualifications:

q  Candidates with A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, FNCNE, MCSE, and/or ITIL v3 Certifications are  Highly Desired

o    Be US Citizens, and,

o    Be able to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing

 

Security Clearance:

q  Current TS/SCI Security Clearance required.  (With a CI or Full Scope Poly)
