Task Description/Responsibilities:

·         The Systems Engineer will provide the day-to-day systems engineering support, and recommend enhancements to the system baseline on a High-Visibility Government C2I Life Cycle Support Program. Duties and Responsibilities shall include:

·         Perform failure analyses and identify weaknesses in the fielded configurations.

·         Conduct systems requirement analyses, design trade-off engineering studies, and design enhancements.

·         Perform Network Engineering support, system performance analysis and tuning.

·         Perform Trusted computing base analysis and design.

·         Perform TEMPEST engineering

·         Resolve problems within the fielded system's network and communications.

·         Support rapid prototyping of hardware and software modifications to the system architecture.

·         Ensure System software security integrity is maintained as outlined in the System Security Assurance section.

·         Support the Test Engineer to ensure compliance with the Systems Capabilities Document.

·         Review all enhancements, changes, updates, and suggested CCB actions for compatibility with the deployed system and anticipated growth.

 

Education:

·         HS Diploma, or GED. and at least seven (7) years of systems engineering experience; or,

·         A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a technical discipline and at least three (3) years of systems engineering experience in a DoD C2, C3, or C4ISR Development and/or Life-Cycle Support Program.

 

Experience:

·         The Systems Engineer shall have either a Bachelors degree (or higher) in a technical discipline and at least three (3) years experience or no Bachelors degree and at least seven (7) years of experience on a technical staff in their related field of expertise.

 

·         The Systems Engineer shall have at least one (1) year experience in a minimum of three of the following areas: rapid prototyping methods, Apple Macintosh™, COTS, UNIX, and wide area and local area network technologies to include TCP/IP, Ethernet, Apple Talk, and DoD standard network/communication protocols.

 

 

Security Clearance:

·         Current TS/SCI required (CI or Life Style Poly highly desired)
