Task Description/Responsibilities:

The Network Design Engineer work as part of a Network Engineering team in an on-going effort to design and transition to a state-of-the-art high speed network.

The Network Design Engineer's Roles and Responsibilities include: * Perform system level analysis, prepare technical designs and solutions, network setup and troubleshooting. * Provide remote and on-site LAN/WAN setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. * Conduct site surveys and prepare network installation plans. * Provide in-house network setup (Cisco routers and switches), design, and troubleshooting

Education:

□ A BS in a technical discipline

□ CCNA Certification

Experience:

□ Minimum 2 years LAN/WAN Network Engineering experience installing, maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting network equipment including Cisco routers and switches

□ 2 years Network Engineering experience with network protocols including TCP/IP, EIGRP, UDP, DHCP, SMTP, IMAP, and SSH

□ 1 year experience designing, configuration, and testing prototype network configurations prior to installation.

□ 1 year experience troubleshooting and resolving network anomalies on an operational network,

□ 1year experience with MSOffice applications.

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration::

q 1 year Cisco CallManager

q 1 year Tandberg VTC

q 1 year Network monitoring tool (HP-OV, OPNET, or equivalent)

q 1 year Apple workstations and Sun servers

Special Requirements

□ Successful candidates will be able to communicate in English, both orally and in writing

Security Clearance:

q Current TS/SCI Security Clearance required.
