Task Description/Responsibilities:

· Individual will prepare speeches, remarks and toasts for the Commander and USSTRATCOM senior leadership, as well as writing the occasional piece for publication.

· Individual also has archiving duties, to collect all written toasts, remarks, speeches and abstracts, articles, and reference material.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in English, journalism, communications, history, or political science, etc. (Advanced Degrees Highly Desired)

Experience:

· Qualified Candidates shall possess extensive speechwriting expertise (minimum of 15 years experience) at a senior level (senior level includes elected officials, corporate leaders, General / Flag officers, appointed national leaders).

· Possess a thorough knowledge of DoD operations and programs.

Additional Requirements:

· Qualified Candidates:

· Must provide a sample speech of between 2500-3000 words

· The sample speech will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

· Zero grammatical errors

· Creativity

· Factual accuracy

· Clarity of message

· must possess excellent oral and written communication skills

· must be a US Citizen

Security Clearance:

· Must Possess a Current DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance
