Task Description/Responsibilities:

The Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Analyst shall:

·         Recommend the scope and approach of modeling, simulation, and analysis activities within and across projects and programs, including the visualization and validation and verification (V & V) approach.

·         They will encourage and lead the J9 staff to leverage existing data and previous modeling efforts.

·         The M&S analyst will guide the formulation of assumptions and scenarios necessary to create complex simulation models (e.g., operational capabilities, networking, computing resources, and processes).

·         They will provide recommendations to the J9 staff based on modeling and simulation results derived from assessments.

·         The M&S analyst will suggest collaboration with other organizations to establish integration and interoperability within and between modeling and simulation tools and synthetic environments.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

·         B.S Degree in mathematics, operations research, computer science, or related technical field

 

Experience:

Qualifications:

·         10 or more years of M&S analysis experience

·         Familiarity with state-of-the-art and state-of-the-practice M&S TTPs.

·         Ability to think broadly and strike a balance between traditional and non­traditional thinking. Sees the interrelationships between M&S and other skill sets and domains.

·         Domain knowledge of one or more USSTRATCOM missions, preferably via hands-on experience in conducting or supporting actual operations.

·         Critical thinking skills, both qualitatively and quantitatively.

·         Ability to prepare a well-grounded, defensible argument.

·         Ability to work well with other organizations and personnel with disparate backgrounds.

·         Ability to effectively use visualization to convey complex, highly-analytical concepts, results, and recommendations to non-technical audiences, especially senior decision makers.

·         Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.

·         Ability to understand the limitations and uncertainty of analyses performed and properly convey these in a balanced way to decision makers

 

Security Clearance:

·         Current TS/SCI Security Clearance required.
